Frequently Asked Questions

  • The Foundation has made significant technology investments, funded internationally focused enrichment programs for students and faculty, enhanced Broughton’s art programs, and invested in major beautification projects and large-scale athletic facility improvements. Simply said, the Foundation fills large funding gaps resulting from declining investments in public education. Capital Foundation grants complement funding available from local, federal and state sources. They do not serve as a substitute for these resources.

  • The Foundation has a Board of Directors and a Board of Advisors, as well as a number of generous donors, who span the spectrum of the Broughton family.

  • The Foundation accepts grant applications in September of each year. The Foundation’s application process coincides and coordinates with those of the PTSA and Academic Booster Club in order to avoid duplication and provide maximum funding across all grant requests.
